CEO DATELINE - Carteaux to chair NAM Council of Manufacturing Associations

Bill Carteaux, CEO of the Plastics Industry Association, will be chairman of the National Association of Manufacturers' Council of Manufacturing Associations for 2017.
Carteaux recently succeeded Aluminum Association CEO Heidi Brock, who transitioned to immediate past chair. Fertilizer Institute President Chris Jahn was named vice chairman, positioning him to become council chair in 2017 when Carteaux's one-year term expires.
Kimberly Korbel, executive director of the American Wine Producers Association, was named second vice chairman.
CMA includes more than 260 industry-specific manufacturing associations that work with NAM to bolster the U.S. manufacturing industry.
"President-elect Donald Trump and manufacturers across the country need strong partners to bring about the change Americans voted for in November," NAM CEO Jay Timmons said in a statement.
"From the first hours of the Trump transition, when the CMA helped us bring more than 1,100 executives together to pledge their best efforts to unite the country, manufacturers have shown they're ready to work with the new administration and new Congress and be the solution in moving policies that will realize the promise of manufacturing in the United States," Timmons added.
The members of CMA's board of directors are Ann Arnott, executive vice president of the Power Transmission Distributors Association; Phillip Bell, president of the Steel Manufacturers Association; Lynn Bragg, president of the Glass Packaging Institute; Matt Croson, president of the American Gear Manufacturers Association; Stephen Gold, president and CEO of MAPI; Deborah Hamlin, CEO of the Irrigation Association; Roy Hardy, executive vice president of the Forging Industry Association; Eric Lanke, CEO of the National Fluid Power Association; John Mitchell, CEO of IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries; Kraig Naasz, CEO of the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S.; Kate Offringa, president of The Vinyl Siding Institute; Tony Radoszewski, president of the Plastics Pipe Institute; Robert Risser, CEO of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute; Stephen Ubl, CEO of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America; Jay Vroom, CEO of CropLife America; Ed Youdell, CEO of Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International; and Steve Young, president of the Independent Packaging Association.
